U'Water Photography news - DUC Shootout 2013
Here's a heads-up to the annual underwater photography competition hosted by Durban Undersea Club (DUC). This is a great competition and the guys and gals from Cape Town cleaned up last year. So if you think you've got what it takes to show the Capetonians what's what, then head over to the DUC website and bookmark this page to follow up on developments. You can also follow developments on the DUC FaceBook page here.
Looking forward to seeing all the images in due course.
Here's what photographic officer, Bryan Hart had to say:
We are in the process of finalising the judges and prizes and will be opening the website for entries soon.
In the mean time I hope you are planning your dives and holidays to tie in with the contest!
Last year we had fantastic prizes and some amazing still entries ... Unfortunately the video side of the contest did not produce the same quality of submissions.
With wrecks, tech diving, new dive sites and the opportunity for interesting encounters , we hope to see a stronger showing in the video section this year.
With new technology in both diving and underwater photography equipment, and the entire coast of our amazing country and Mozambique as a shooting area, the judges and the organisers look forward to another well supported and strongly contested DUC Shootout!
